Having funeral insurance can help deal with the cost, giving everyone peace of mind should the worst ever happen. It is possible to payappl as little as R79.00 per month per individual and R80.00 per family per month, making it a minimal financial commitment. We have affordable funeral plans available for burial and cremation services. There is no reason why you shouldn’t consider a funeral plan early in life as most people only think about funeral insurance after they have suffered a loss.

Group Scheme Terms and Conditions
- Premiums must be paid on or before the 7th of each month.
- Premiums that are not paid by the 7th of each month will show as arrears.
- If there is an arrears amount on your society, no claim will be paid out.
- If your society is in arrears for more than 2 months, you will have to join again and a new joining fee will have to be paid, and the society will go into a 6 month waiting period.
- The 6 months waiting period is six full calendar months.
- In the event of material information regarding the assurance risk and related statistics, subsequently becoming available prior to our liability for such risk commencing on or thereafter, we have the right to withdraw the quotation on conditions and / or revise it and / or cancel it from inception.
- The date from which this guarantee is effective will be determined by HlalaNathi Funerals cc after all necessary documentation has taken place and the first premium has been paid. Submitting the book as proof, is not starting the claim process.
- All funeral services will be conducted by HlalaNathi Funerals cc.
- HlalaNathi Funerals cc may amend any of the premium rates, terms and conditions of this insurance by giving 30 days written notice of such changes to the insured.
- There are no surrender values attached to this policy.
- Suicide will not be covered during the first two years of membership.

- The 6 months waiting period is six full calendar months.
- All claims will be paid within 60 hours (3 days) to HlalaNathi Funerals cc.
- During the first 6 months after the commencement of deductions or payments, the member, spouse and children and other dependants will only enjoy cover in the event of death due to natural causes.
Documents needed to process a claim
- Certified copy of the death certificate.
- Certified copy of the deceased ID document.
- Certified copy of the main member’s ID document.
- Certified copy of the bank statement.
- Certified copy of beneficiary’s ID document.
- Affidavit form signed by beneficiary.
- In cases where a member was previously underwritten, a letter from that insurer stating the deceased name, ID and last one to six months payment details must accompany the claim.
- Certified letter from the beneficiary if the money is to be paid to any other person.
- BI-1663 register of death (Notification). In the event of unnatural death, a police report will be required.
